Microblading

Based in The Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham City Centre

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing that is semipermanent. Microblading, however, uses a blade-shaped equipment with a row of tiny, hardly visible needles to deposit colour into the skin while creating hair-like strokes along the brows. The outcome? Realistic eyebrow hairs that do not wash off for about a year.

Brows Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that results in a natural and hair like stroke looking eyebrows.
Great for those with more brow hairs. It is not recommended for oily skin or coverups for old tattoos. Two procedures are required to complete the final look. The second session is 4 to 6 weeks after the first.

What are the protocols for pre and post care?

For optimal results, it is best to adhere to the pre- and post-care guidelines.

Before undergoing a procedure, consumers are informed of the following:

For 72 hours, avoid alcohol, aspirin/ibuprofen, and any vitamins that may thin the blood.
Avoid tanning in order for us to evaluate your natural skin tone.
No facial cleanses or chemical peels for two weeks beforehand.
Feel free to come in with brow makeup already on so that our technician can observe your preferred daily appearance. Reference images of eyebrow shapes and colours are always welcome. Then, we will collaborate to create the perfect brows!
After your surgery, patients MUST adhere to the following instructions:

Within two hours of the treatment, clean the brows with a Q-tip and damp them lightly with distilled or cooled down hot water. Remove the old healing balm and any lymphatic fluid (clear yellow liquid) that may have accumulated with care. Using a fresh Q-tip, reapply healing balm to the eyebrows after lightly drying them with tissue.
For at least five to seven days, apply a thin coating of healing balm to the eyebrows both morning and night.
Do not apply healing balm excessively.
Do not submerge the brow in water for fourteen days. When showering, avoid contact with the face. When cleansing or washing the face, avoid the eyebrows and clean around them.
No makeup should be used to the brow area for at least ten days. A microbladed region is an open wound, and the usage of cosmetics can lead to infections.
Alcohol, aspirin/ibuprofen, and any vitamins that may thin the blood should be avoided for 24 hours.
As the brow region heals, it will feel slightly irritated and begin to scab over. Peeling or picking at the scabs might alter the result and pigmentation.
No swimming, sunbathing, or sauna use for at least fourteen days.
No facial scrubbing or chemical peels for a minimum of two weeks.
